Developing countries exploring pathways to climate compatibility

The MAPS Programme hosted four main country processes that generated evidence to inform the transition towards robust economies that are low carbon: IES Brasil in Brazil, MAPS Chile in Chile, the ECDBC in Colombia and PlanCC in Peru. A MAPS international team, largely based in Cape Town, was responsible for producing knowledge for best practice development, regional collaboration and ensuring knowledge sharing through a Labs programme and other means of knowledge management. In addition, the MAPS Programme worked with the BASIC Group of Experts on Climate Change in their role in producing knowledge that could inform international climate change policy decisions by the BASIC Ministers.
